Adding new qualifications to your RTO’s scope of registration is one of the ways to grow your training organisation to drive to reach your vision. Extension to the scope of registration can help your RTO deliver new Certificates, Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Graduate Certificates and Graduate Diplomas (AQF level 1 – 6 and 8) qualifications to:

• Provide opportunities for student to progress in your RTO once they complete a qualification,
• Attract and win new clients,
• Capture market share in new and profitable niches,
• Qualify for new funding opportunities,
• Offer your current customers a broader range of additional training services and qualification upgrades, and
• Adds more variety to your trainers’ day to day work to keep them interested and engaged with their job.

If your RTO has held registration for less than two years, you will need to provide extra information when applying to change your scope of registration.

In addition to the change of scope form, you will also need to complete:

• A self-assessment for RTO change of scope (DOC)
• The financial viability risk assessment tool (XLSM).

Adding items to your scope of registration involves an application lodgement fee of $500.

This fee is per application and will be the same regardless of how many items you include.
